Cordance is seeking an Engineering Manager for Upright Labs, a Cordance company, to join our team and drive innovation across our core Books & Media reselling product. This role reports to the VP of Technology. They are at the forefront of multi-channel inventory management and e-commerce tools for the second-hand retail industry. 


In this role, you will work with the VP of Technology and other stakeholders to deliver exciting new features and transformational changes to our core Books & Media product, manage and mentor a team of engineers, and oversee execution. This is a hybrid role, and you’ll be expected to contribute to the code while you manage the team. Additionally, your responsibilities will include analyzing and addressing tech debt and facilitating team development. You will also coordinate with customer success on tickets and support the Books & Media engineering team operations.


Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage the .net engineering team, including reviews

  • Plan and execute agile sprints, and align with priorities

  • Analyze tech debt and integrate enhancements

  • Contribute code and maintain codebase engagement

  • Unblock tasks and support team growth


Qualifications:



  • 5+ years working in SaaS or technology

  • 1+ years of managing a technology team

  • 5+ years of experience in building distributed applications in the .Net environment and C#

  • Experience with ASP.NET and MySQL/SQL Server as well as Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF) / XAML

  • Familiarity with Web API technologies (SOAP, REST, OAUTH)

  • Work on .NET backend/frontend, building new features

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience


Nice to Have:



  • E-commerce or retail experience is a plus

  • Knowledge of AWS APIs and eBay Trading APIs
