What’s the opportunity?
dLocal is seeking an experienced Business Assurance Head to lead our Business Assurance (BA) team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and control of our financial and operational processes across the globe, and will play a key role in developing strategies and frameworks to improve financial and operational control oversight in a fast-paced environment.
What will you be doing?
- Manage and lead a high-performance reconciliation team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations while developing strategies to enhance overall financial control.
- Oversee and optimize the full reconciliation process of the company’s transactional and financial flows, ensuring that all transactions (incoming and outgoing) are accurately recorded and processed.
- Actively identify and propose solutions for complex issues found during reconciliation processes. Develop and implement new controls and processes to address gaps and inefficiencies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and execute corrective actions for financial discrepancies, deficiencies, or process issues, ensuring a seamless flow of operations.
- Drive the automation of the reconciliation processes and participate in the SAP implementation project, driving efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain active and transparent communication with third parties (payment processors, banks, merchants), ensuring smooth collaboration and problem resolution.
- Act as the focal point for internal and external audits in a SOX environment
What skills do you need?
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Public Accountant preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years in a senior management role within external audit (Big 4 preferred), reconciliation, or a multinational finance environment.
- Proven experience in leading and supervising large high-performing teams.
- Strong knowledge of Excel and data analysis tools, with an ability to handle and analyze large datasets.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like SAP is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement and automation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment, with strong multitasking abilities.
