Backend Engineer (possibly with Data Science experience)

We are a Munich-based startup with around 25 employees, all working completely remotely. • Problem Analysis and Resolution: You will analyze and solve current technical issues, especially in the area of IPv6. This involves identifying the causes of existing issues and developing sustainable solutions.
• Varied Tasks: Your responsibilities will range from PNL optimizations and automation to automatic deployments and DevOps and programming tasks. Depending on the needs, you might also work on data science topics and contribute to making our processes more efficient and robust.
• Independent Task Management: You will take on tasks independently and won’t wait for them to be delegated to you. You’ll identify areas that need attention and proactively engage with them.
• Increasing Quality and Efficiency: You will help us move forward faster and with higher quality. Your contributions will ensure that our products and processes are continuously improved, making our team more successful.
• Focus on Productivity: We have bi-weekly meetings, but otherwise, we highly value your uninterrupted focus time. You have the freedom to dive deeply into your tasks and develop effective solutions.

• Long-Term Perspective: We are also looking for someone with data science experience who can strengthen our ML team in the long term. This position can be flexibly combined with the current role, allowing you to make valuable contributions in both areas. (If you don’t have data science experience, that’s not a problem!)

For this position, a few technical experiences are also important:

• Tech Stack: Experience with Python or Julia is required. Django knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory. You should be comfortable with one of these technologies and ready to use it intensively.
• Tools and Technologies: Experience with Visual Studio Code, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform would be beneficial. These tools and technologies play a crucial role in our daily work and will help you execute your tasks efficiently and effectively.

We have developed an innovative AI software solution that can track the user behavior of your advertisements. We do not only help marketing departments to use KPIs that they can check with our data. Retailers also use our software to generate more revenue with data-driven decisions. E-commerce companies can fully understand the customer journey of their customers and the source of their online sales through us. Our tracking solution works across devices and platforms, and it's 100% GDPR compliant. How we manage to do that? Through our AI tracking algorithm, real-time reporting, and data-driven attribution.


WHO WE ARE

We are a team consisting of about 30 people at the moment. Our engineering teams (Tracking & User Experience and AI & Analytics) consist of about four people each. Currently, we are looking for both teams - Frontend for our Tracking & User Experience team and a Database Expert for our AI & Analytics team.

Also, we are remote first - which means that your location doesn't matter to us at all - we believe that you can work from anywhere! Therefore, our employees are located in Germany, Austria, and also in the Netherlands right now.
